Water Borehole Rehabilitation and Development Using AirBurst

What types of boreholes can AirBurst be used in?
AirBurst can and has been used in both cased and uncased vertical boreholes, inclined boreholes and radial wells/infiltration galleries.

Can Airburst be used in PVC cased boreholes
Yes, obviously there are limits to how much energy can be used and it is more dependant on the condition and thickness of the casing than with steel or stainless steel cased boreholes.

What diameter of boreholes can AirBurst be used in?
AirBurst has been used in boreholes from 100mm (4 inches) to 1m (3 feet)

What is the maximum depth for AirBurst?
This is largely limited by the AirBurst rig used. We have 300m and 75m capabilities in stock and ready to use. In practice the technique can be used at 1km downhole, however a specialised rig is required for these depths

Does AirBurst use chemicals?
No, with AirBurst the only "chemical" is air or nitrogen, the inert gas used to power the process.

What about chemicals and Airburst?
We would always suggest AirBurst as the first treatment to be used, and then if necessary a chemical product. Using the product after Airburst should enhance its performance as Airburst would have removed any blockages and thus opened up pathways for chemicals to travel further in the borehole“, the borehole annulus and the formation. If Airburst is used at the same time as chemicals then the process will distribute the chemicals very effectively and much qucker than waiting for disperstion alone.

Is Cirrus Offering a Service or a Licence to use the process?
Both options are used in different areas.
In many areas we will enter into a service partnership with a local drilling company or water contractor.
In other areas such as UK we directly provide the service ourselves.
